This year, we're Movin'n Shakin', with a fresh look at the physical and dynamic aspects of teaching and learning: a contrast with the 2005 theme of rest, relaxation and reflection. We want to think about things like incorporating movement, integrating content from other subject areas and improving our own physical presence within the classroom. Join us at the Balneario de Guitiriz. We're running out of rooms now. Look here for an alternative.
Key speakers include Leslie Denham from the British Council, Mario Rinvolucri from Pilgrims and Robin Walker from Oxford University Press. There will also be star contributions from Paul Seligson (Richmond Publishing), Sarah Phillips (OUP), Josefina Ares (Heinemann-Macmillan), Fitch O'Connell (British Council Portugal), Peter Redpath (APIGA), Paul McConochie (Burlington Books) among others.
The same format as last year will be followed, but with changes to the timetable so that you have more time for enjoying the spa facilities. Moreover, Saturday night's entertainment, sponsored by Macmillan Heinemann will mix dance with World Culture, so be prepared to cha-cha-cha.

We're still working on the programme. Here is the general outline. You may also have a look at the list of speakers as we build the programme. Not much information can be published yet as we still have to arrange times, rooms, etc. All information is, therefore, tentative and subject to change.
Remember to bring your swimming cap and bathing suit for the spa.
The reception at the town hall will be during the 6 o'clock coffee break. The second plenary will therefore be at 7.00.
On Saturday, the town council will invite us to a guided trip around Guitiriz - on foot if the weather is nice, by bus if isn't that nice. The route is called "Sete Muíños" (Seven Mills). We'll meet at the petrol station at 1.30.
